On the 8th of Feb. We were not THAT tense, at least not me. We had our chemistry exam on the 5th , the external examiners went out for two whole hours for lunch. Parminder sir told all of us the salts.

Anyways, the physics practical is a bit different. I had the first batch, 8am to 11am. We were really scared about our viva. Luckily the guy who was a pain didn’t take my viva. The woman did . I managed to do all my experiments comfortably, and didn’t heed the call of the lab assistant when he asked me to take my lab file. I thought I would leave it for some needy junior.

This story is not about my practical, it’s about Annie’s. He had the 11:30 batch. In the process of doing last minute mugging up, he accidentally lost his lab file. He went in with a fake lab file with only the index filled and NOTHING written inside the file, no one noticed. I don’t know which experiments he had got; one of them was a glass slab though. He didn’t know how to do any of them. So, for half an hour or so he was doing nothing. Then P.K. Sharma sir came in, “ Baccho!!! Mai aaa gaya huun.” Aniket said,”Sir I don’t know anything, HELP ME!!!” So, sir took a sheet and started writing all the experiments on a sheet of paper for him. Then having some revelation he got up and got a certain child’s lab file, named “Saumitra Sinha”, and asked him to copy everything from that file, observations and the writing part. Aniket very happily copied everything……. But wait there is more.

Annie had to make a ray diagram of the glass slab on a sheet of paper, so he went to Sharma sir for a sheet and pins. Sir slapped him really hard on the cheek and said, “Saumitra ne to banaya hoga, uska nikal le.” And Annie obediently followed his command. Later Dhruv Kumar, the exun president also took out the prism sheet from my lab file and used it for the exam. Their viva went well, Annie was questioned for 15 minutes on the Gurgaon flyover. When the practical was over P.K. Sharma sir told Annie, “Saumitra ko bolna mat, pata nahi kyaa sooche ga.”

I always knew I was meant to help people!!!! Now these two guys own me a BIG TREAT, and the others who copied my observations.

Remember

Remember a day, remember a year,
Remember a life that was so dear.
The sinful act of forgetting the past,
Has a cost we all must fear.

Some will go, and some will try.
Our paths have changed and we all know why.
Our world has grown
And the door was shown.

The passing shadows have sighed and mourned.
The groping grasps that we have thrown.
Have left us nothing but regret.
The things that were known and things we forget,
Will haunt us all till they are said.

Don’t take my hand for now,
But wait for when you come around.
Tell me fables with glorious eyes,
And tell me tales from when we were alive.

Tears have filled with hearty goodbyes.
But I will not shut my eyes.
And watch my loves fade away.
But pray that they will return one day.
And embrace me, as has always been done.
So that grief and sorrow shall be undone.

Remember when we laughed?
Remember when we smiled and danced?

-Saumitra Sinha
This is for my best friend for life(he knows who he is).
And all the others who I will miss.
Was talking a walk to cool my self down.... ran back 2km full speed to write this. I’m posting on sardarjis. Inspired obviously by our class’s very own, the one and only JASMEET KHOSLA. No one can be unhappy around him. Whenever you feel down you just go up to him and in 10 seconds something funny is going to happen, guaranteed. he is the funniest sardar(...IMAGINE!!!!) ,he cracks jokes bout himself unknowingly...and then realizes what big blunder he has just done(n sometimes he never gets to know why we laughed for such a long time.)Unless of course he is sleeping, which usually is the case in the first two periods of school...also he gets Kabab and Keema for us almost everyday. i remember Some Time Back he prepared "Julius Caesar" by shakesphere as an alternative for the monday test because he forgot the name of the play by shakesphere which was in the course for 11th(..i mean Merchant of Venice..!)...lol....!!!

shomi says:
"Sikhs are the jolliest people I know. You can always count on them. You will never find them depressed. They truly know how to live. My family has always been very close to them, considering the fact that my father’s first words were in Punjabi. I believe I have also inherited a liking for them."

annie says:
"Also have you ever seen a Sardarji Begger??..welll you probably wouldnt have coz they dont exist.A homeless Sardar would rather devote himself to the gurdwara seva or work hard enough to earn a good amount.Sardajis are very hard working and one sardar who has money would be ever-ready to help another sardar anytime anywhere."

Also Sardars crack a lot of Sardarji Jokes!!!...this is a very nice thing.

N now something bout the Sadars in our school:

My best friend in nursery was Avneet, he is a great person.By the way there is another Jasmeet, of whom very few people know about. Jasmeet Bagga. This one is a she. I always tell both the Jasmeets to get married, so that they can also name their children “Jasmeet”, girl or boy. That would be some kind record wont it? Imagine the chaos it would cause. There is also Manpreet, other than her breaking Sanyukt’s nose, she is a gem of a person (Don’t ever play basket ball with her). Arjan you might know has a great sense of humour. His mind works in a very devilish way. Now, Gursartaj has also got that spark of a sardarji and sometimes cracks very funny jokes. But we all know where his speciality, computers. Co-President of exun, he is yet to give us a treat.

By the way, I have been offered by Jasmeet to become a Sardarji. He said all you need to do is eat chicken, drink and listen to Malkit Singh. Many of our batch mates are planning to go to Goa after the boards…..but, 12-H students have plans to go to Punjab. You are welcome to join us.

FAQ's ON SARDARS:

Q1.WHATS WITH THE 12'o Clock Thing????
Ans.1 well as per the rumours; sardarji's are suppose to go mad at 12'o clock if given some brainy stuff to do.However i havent encountered such a behaviour from any sardar till date..
But there is a scientific Fact that supports this myth.
they say that the turban that they wear causes a lotta heat inside...so there head is usually hot most of the day n when its 12'o clock then the sun is overhead which causes a lotta heat inside the head n so they go mad!!!>..lol...(i m so sure some sardar must have given this theory!)

and there is another theory which seems to be more convincing:
"This is about the period when India was under the subjugation of the Afghans, the Mughals and the Turks. It was a habit of the marauders to loot the masses (mainly Hindus), take the spoils of war and along with them take away all their women for their pleasure. The only people who stood against these people were the Sardars. With 'guerilla' tactics, they attacked the Muslim camps and liberated the Hindu women from the clutches. The usual time of such attacks was either at noon, or midnight. The attacks were so ferocious, that the Muslims began dreading the expected attacks of the Sikhs at 12 o' clock, midnight or noon".
It was these people who coined the phrase that "Sardaron ke barah baj gaye".

And Now, THE IRONY:The descendents of the rescued people are making fun of the rescuers!!!!! I think any person who repeats this sentence against the Sikhs is making fun of the meekness of his own lineage. So now I guess anybody who reads this might reconsider before using this dialogue.

Q2. Why do sardars and sardarnees have the same names?
Ans2.tell me why have we taken birth on earth??? does god exist????is there life after death???
well..there are some questions in life which cant be answered....this question is one of them...

IF YOU HAVE ANY SARDAR JI QUERIES THEN DO TELL US THROUGH THE COMMENTS SECTION>>>THANK YOU

-Shomi & Aniket

10th class memories

Undoubtedly we had the most fun in tenth class. Yes, it was a board year but still we did a lot of masti. I am talking about 10-H. It was a great section. I am sure we laughed the loudest in that class and also that others did the same in theirs too.

We also had a very strange variety of teachers….

Our class/maths teacher- Naga Lakshmi.
Not one day passed by without her shouting her head off at us. Her favorites were Aviral and me. One day she said in her south Indian accent, “Saumitra!!!! I predict that you will fail in your board exams”. Believe it or not because of that my hand was shaking when I was giving my maths paper. She always used to scold Dhruv about his hair and before the maths paper he had a nightmare in which while giving the board paper Lakshmi walked in, shouted at him and then started to forcefully cut Dhruv’s hair.

Bio teacher- S.K. Arora(Sakora)
This person is very strange. He used to flirt a lot with the girls in the class and used to teach us stuff which was way out of course. At the end of the year, out of the blue, he gave us a pep talk on sex and I clearly remember him mentioning masturbation(please excuse).
Most memorable moment with him and in tenth was when we were studying the reproductive system. Obviously everyone was exceptionally quiet, but we were all giggling. He was making the diagram of the male reproductive system on the board. Suddenly for no reason at all, leaving the diagram incomplete he just walked out of the class. After about 30 seconds Amulya(barely able to speak because of laughter) said out loud,”check karne gaya hai”. We all burst out laughing, and I swear we all had tears in our eyes.

Chemistry teacher-Mena Kumar
Nothing much to her really. Just that she had a really squeaky voice and could barely control the class. Her trademark was the “power” running shoes she wore every day. I have been told she has switched to Nike.

Geography and Economics-Aarti Trivedi.
She was the most gullible teacher ever. She didn’t know much about the subject she taught, but Annunay and Jonny would always pester her, asking what all was important for the school exams. They actually leaked the whole paper in the process.

P.S.- we still don’t know why Sakora went out of the class.

---Shomi

Flawlessly Crucified???

KILER VOCALS DID THE WORK!!!!!!!

This is a CD Review of the new Crucified(Ayush,Rishi and Siddharth's Band) Recordings

Well, when i first got a copy of the CD , i thought thisCD would have 5 Badly recoreded Songs from Kids who PLay 3 selected chords with a lot of snare and double bass and a lotta growling.n then call it MUSIC>...
Though i personally love Death and Black Heavy Metal, songs from crucified wern't ever appeling, even their (lets say Famous) self-comp-"FLAWLESS"
LOL...
Well, surprisingly the CD had more to offer...out of the 5 tracks, the first 3 were the "trademark Crucified Songs"or songs with almost same growling, almost same 3 chords ,no solos and lotta double bass but the next 2 tracks proved that Crucified is more than just Growls.
.the Songs 'Everytime' Do you think that good always triumphs over evil? Well I know that in stories and movies they do, but does it really happen in real life? There are so many famous lines which speak of these things…like whatever happens is always for good, that everything has a purpose. Is it really true? I’m really confused and I sure hope you guys can tell me. I’ll let you guys know my queries.

Does this war on Iraq and this oppression on Afghanistan have a purpose? Tell me isn’t bush getting away with all this? He didn’t get stopped by the UN. Why is that? He had no legitimate reason to go to war, he didn’t find any biological weapons. If you give me this crap that at least people got saved from the oppression they faced daily I’m really going to kick your ass. If things got out of hand people can have a revolution. The state that these countries were in was the same as that of what we had before the British came. They were facing the same hardships that our ancestors faced, the rulers were as ruthless, at least most of them were. But we still condemn the British coming here. Why is that? Because this is our motherland we don’t want foreign rule. But still people think that bush did the right thing. Some people might have noticed this …during the Afghanistan war whenever I saw him on TV he was always cracking jokes or smiling. I ask how can people take him seriously, when people die he cracks joke, how can we welcome him? The other one might have slept with his secretary but he was much better in my openion.

Tell me is it right that some people have all the pleasures in life without any hard work of their own while others die and struggle on the streets. How is that justified? What wrong have they done?
You know what a perfect murder is? It is a murder which someone commits but never gets caught for. How do we know how many perfect murders have been committed as we’ll never get to know about them in the papers or in the news? Just think how many people get away with murder. We’ll never know, it could well exceed the number of murders which are solved. All we seen in the news or read in the papers is that of who ever has been caught.
Remember that feeling when in winters your mother used to tuck you in to bed and read you stories till you fell asleep? That a wonderful feeling of security, do you still get it? When someone having so much faith waits for an unbelievable amount of time for something to happen, also works hard for it, tries his best to make it happen and he fails for no reason at all. Who can justify what happened? Who can tell him it was all for the best? Who can renew his faith?

-Shomi

IT DOESNT GET BIGGER THAN THIS!!!!

My Mom's Old Phone...A Must Read.
-Aniket

ok..people,since i have been forced to write a post for the blog by my friends and since i have exactly nothing to
blog about,
i plan to write something about my mom's old phone..Old..very Old...very very Old infact!!

So my mom has this Phone...its the Nokia phone..
Nokia Phone???which model..?

now ,now what do you call the first car frm Maruti i.e.the Maruti 800?
well..the car is caleed as Maruti itself, coz when the car was released it was the only car from Maruti..
the same is the case with this phone...
The very first Nokia- THE NOKIA 5110( BEWARE)
dont believe it..????have a look...

surely,IT DOESNT GET BIGGER THAN THIS!!!
he he..now so what does this phone exacly DO,does it sing, or can it click pictures????
hehhe...NO...tis a phone..so it can only Make and Recieve Calls(only recieve if it were the 1.0.2 version, mom's got 1.1.2)
ya...and??..oh ...yes how can i forget.
..IT CAN SEND FUCKIN SMSes TOO...and and Reciev Them Too...Walla!! Guys it's a real painting....William Blake made it. He is supposed to be one of the biggest visionaries of Britain. He is more famous for his poems though....but was a brilliant artist too. You might have heard one of his poems, I'm sure you'll recognize it,
"To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour."
Ring a bell???? Yup it's the same guy. Ever wondered why the killer in the movie was so obsessed with the red dragon? Now you might not have given it much thought, but I did. Here you go, this is from the Bible...i've condenced it for you.

A woman(Jesus's mom) clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars was giving birth to a child. A great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven crowns came from the skies. He stood in front of the mother while she was giving birth so that when the child, so that when he was born the dragon could devour him. She gave birth to a son, who was to rule all the nations of the world with an iron rod(don't know what that means). The boy was saved by god and the mother was given one thousand two hundred sixty days of protection in heaven.

Now the angels of heaven went to war with the Great Red Dragon and his followers. The dragon lost and there was no place for him and his followers in heaven. So he and his angels were thrown down to earth(interesting....to earth). The Dragon is know also as Satan or as the devil.

They aparenty fell into the sea and lived in hell. But out of the sea came a beast having ten horns and seven heads. Who had the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion. The dragon or the devil had given him his power, his throne and great authority. He had a big mortal wound on one of his heads which somehow magically recovered. Convinced of his power everyone started to worship him...he then went to war with heaven.

Another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. He also had all the authority and made the people to worship the first beast. He causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands, or on their foreheads and that no one would be able to buy or to sell, unless he has that mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name.

(this is the last line which was written)
Here is wisdom. He who has understanding, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is six hundred sixty-six.
(for maiden fans, find the meaning in these lines)

Makes you wonder dosen' t it??? Good is just one perspective and evil another. In each and every one of us there is a beast.
